How ZAP! came into being…
We live in dangerous times, sadly. The idea for ZAP Pepper Spray was conceived after the Sialkot motorway tragedy. The incident left many of us utterly disgusted and helpless where a woman who was unarmed was attacked blatantly along with her children .
This got us thinking. How could women or the public in general be safe against crimes and assaults, without the use of lethal force of an armed weapon.
Thus the idea of a pepper spray crossed our minds. These sprays are widely carried by men and women in most parts of the world. They act as a perfect non-lethal weapon for self defense in the wake of an unfortunate event.
This led to the creation of ZAP. Pakistan’s first Pepper Spray brand. Pepper spray, or Oleoresin capsicum spray is a lachrymatory agent (a compound that irritates the eyes to cause a burning sensation, pain, and temporary blindness) used in policing, riot control and self-defence, including defence against dogs and other aggressive animals.
Zap is an affordable option for personal protection that’s easy to carry in a pocket, backpack or purse. Ideally, Zap Pepper spray will completely incapacitate the attacker and allow the victim to escape and call the police incase of an unfortunate event.
